Practical Sustainability is financially independent and has no affiliations or dependencies that could compromise our independence.
Integrity, practical efficiency, and flexibility are core values we use to measure and inspire our approach to everything we do. We maintain this approach in our communications, our own organisation, and in the work we carry out on behalf of our clients.
Practical Sustainability provides leadership in persistently striving to provide its services in a way that is consistent with, and contributes to, action towards Sustainable Development.
Our work generally results in the more efficient use of energy, waste and water, which ultimately translates into a reduction in operational costs for our clients.
As the building services within a facility are a major contributor to its power usage, and ultimately its carbon emissions, we begin by ascertaining our client's sustainability and financial goals for the building. We then consider sustainability, legislative, and financial aspects with our clients before carrying out any work.
Through our experience in auditing, Green Star certification, NABERS ratings, and in designing to achieve a particular rating outcome, we are well aware of the complexities and potential pitfalls in the implementation of service components. We are always attentive to the impact of the services' design on wider operations and the environment, examining the existing services in a holistic manner and to identify alternative design options.
